Puma is a 2 year old female that was owner relinquish. She has been spayed and is is current on vaccines, heartworm negative, free of internal and external parasites, and micro-chipped. She is located in NC. Once ready we will start with the pre-approved applicants already waiting. Puma in on the small side, 53 lbs. She was purchased from a breeder who had her listed on craigslist for $50 when she was 11 months old. She’s can be very skittish around people. She hasn’t been aggressive at all, but she’s a nervous. Puma is completely house and crate trained, she also knows her basic commands of sit, lay down, stay, come. She’s not destructive, although I have not left her unattended unless she’s in the crate. She walks beautifully on the leash and also rides well in the car. She is too scared of other dogs and would thrive as an only dog. She’s doing very well with me, she’s been very affectionate and cuddly and she follows me everywhere. Still a little skittish at times with me but a huge improvement over the past 10 days or so. She’s also doing much better with my husband, she’s allowing him to walk her and she approaches him for petting and play a lot now, but she still has to be the one to initiate or she gets scared. He’s walking her alone most nights too and she’s enjoying that. She’s very wary of all new people and situations. I have not had her around any children or cats. She LOVES all types of toys and has a tremendous ball drive. I’ve spent a lot of time playing with her and she does seem to calm down a little after some vigorous exercise. She also very food motivated. She’s very affectionate and snuggly with me when she wants to be, but she has to be the one to initiate it. She’s a beautiful girl that must have suffered through some very bad things to act this way, it really breaks my heart. I think in the right atmosphere she will make a wonderful pet for someone.
